Class Descriptions
AcroYoga
AcroYoga combines the playfulness of partner acrobatics with the mindfulness of yoga, and the creativity of dance. Working in partnership with others, the practice builds trust, communication, connection, flexibility and strength. This class is open to all levels and no partner is required!
All Levels Power Flow
Power Flow Yoga offers a one breath per movement, continuous flow that’s challenging and energetic. These classes explore a variety of sequences, variations and transitions and offer the yogis an opportunity to personalize the practice by adjusting the sequence so it feels safe and good in their bodies.
All Levels Vinyasa
Vinyasa focuses on integrating breath and movement through steady and fluid asana sequences (sequences of yoga poses) called Vinyasa. Possibly the most common style of yoga taught in the West, Vinyasa or Flow classes improve balance, strength, flexibility, and connection to the body and breath. These all-levels classes are designed to be accessible to everybody, oftentimes poses and sequences include both easier and more challenging options so you can create your own practice.
Daybreak Yoga
Daybreak Yoga is an invigorating, yet moderately paced flow that is sure to get your mind and body moving throughout the day. With breath at the center of this practice, Daybreak Yoga provides an opportunity to pause and recalibrate the alignment of the mind, body, and breath so you leave feeling present and aware.
Foundations
Great for beginning and experienced students alike, this class is designed to give you a language and an understanding of the practice(s) of yoga. Not specifically an easy class, it is designed to get you feeling stable, balanced, at ease and accomplished in your practice. This class is good for those new to yoga or students looking to fine-tune their practice.
Restorative
Restorative classes incorporate active relaxation, using props and longer held poses to promote healing. This class is perfect for recovery or those times when you feel weak, stressed, fatigued or want to recuperate your body or mind after climbing. Some teachers may incorporate meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), or yoga nidra (yogic sleep) as part of a restorative practice.
Rocket Yoga
Rocket is a physically demanding style of yoga that re-sequences the disciplined Ashtanga yoga system into a playful, energetic practice. Developed by Larry Schultz in the 80s and credited as the original power yoga, each sequence begins with sun salutations and standing postures and then progresses quickly into creatively-linked arm balances, inversions and seated postures. Rocket Yoga was named by Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, who said “It gets you there faster!"
Slow Flow Vinyasa
Unwind from your day as you move fluidly through poses to relieve tension in the mind and body. Our slow flow practice will provide poses that range from gentle to challenging, done with stable, centering energy. This moving meditative practice will provide you with mindfulness of action and awareness of breathing.
Slow Flow + Yin
A combo of our Slow Flow Vinyasa and Yin Yoga class!
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a deeply gentle and slow class. Poses are held for 2-5 minutes or more to stretch and release the ligaments, fascia, and other connective tissue. Props are used to help support our shapes. This practice helps calm and balance the mind while improving flexibility and lowering stress levels. Extra layers or socks can feel good in this cooling class.
