Nov 10th ROCK WARS Comp
This past weekend Earth Treks hosted an ABS Bouldering
competition at its Rockville facility. This was the first competition Earth
Treks Rockville has hosted since its expansion, and the turnout was enormous
for the event. With around 300 competitors this was certainly one of the
biggest competitions Earth Treks has ever hosted. Climbers came from as far
South as North Carolina and as far North as New Jersey to compete at the event,
featuring a large number of youth teams as well as adult competitors. The main
climbing event occurred from around noon till 5pm, and was followed by a spectacular
finals event with the top six male and female climbers from the comp. Aided by
a great light show and our guest DJ, the finals portion of the event was a
great show for spectators and fantastic climbing event for the competitors.
Over 100 Team Earth Treks climbers showed up for the event and it was certainly
a sea of blue during the competition, we are very proud of our team’s turnout
and results at this event. A special thank you to all of the parents and
volunteers at the event who helped make this event a success for so many
people.
