Now that t-nutting is almost done, route setting on the new walls is underway. New routes are being set on the Lead/TR wall yesterday and today. In addition to route setting and t-nutting continuing, floor padding is going in and a new way to get to the stalactite has been fabricated by Tobey.

Happy Anniversary to CJ (our Chief Operating Officer) and Brian (Columbia Head Route-setter and Senior Instructor). They both reached their 12 year anniversary with Earth Treks today!

Both Brian and CJ have worked in multiple roles at ET, been employees of the year and have been instrumental in shaping this amazing company.

Some significant progress was made on the Columbia construction project this weekend. Friday: the retail/front desk area saw some demo and the installation of a new front desk. Friday and Saturday: The new climbing wall was pre-drilled for T-Nuts, making way for route setting later this week. Sunday: The Lead/TR wall got belay bars installed. And, here is the best part...

Craig from Nilepoc Media dropped by again on Monday. He just sent me these cool pictures of the final phases of textureing and coloring the new walls. Don't forget to check out the full set posted in our gallery .

On a side note: Pre-drilling for the t-nuts has started. You know what that means, right? Route setting will commence very soon!

The second coat of concrete is just about done. This coat adds color and texture to the surface. After it is all applied and dried, t-nutting pre-drilling will proceed. Check out these cool pics and look even better pics tomorrow.
